Friends of Basset Hound Welfare

Basset Hound Welfare has long been aware of the goodwill felt towards the charity, particularly from those who have been introduced to the unique experience of adopting an unwanted hound, but also anyone who has an empathy with the Basset Hound and the good work done by Welfare.

With “friends” we have built upon on this and provided an organisation which gives an opportunity to be closer to the charity and share experiences with us.

We produce a regular newsletter titled: “In Your Own Time”, containing advice, experiences from experts & fellow owners, matters of interest, Basset stories and pictures etc; written for friends by friends, it is your newsletter.

We arrange walks in many parts of the UK, attend fun gatherings and are always open to friends suggestions for events.

You may have regular contact with your local Basset Hound Welfare representative or the representative who re-homed your hound with you, “friends” complements this.

Anyone adopting a hound from Basset Hound Welfare automatically becomes a friend for one year; thereafter we ask just a minimum annual donation of £8.00, as below, to continue enjoying being a member of friends and supporting the Charity.

Otherwise, to become a friend, make an annual donation to friends of Basset Hound Welfare; whatever amount you would like to give – with a minimum donation of £8.00 per annum.

On behalf of the Trustees of Basset Hound Welfare, I am inviting you to be a friend and join some three hundred others. If you wish to, please complete the form and attach with your payment.

Looking forward to your friendship.

Yours sincerely,

Donald Bibby
